Big Picture: Checklist

You have several important measures that together provide you with the big picture of how prepared your child is for the new school year.

For example, look at your child’s report card grades and compare them to his or her annual state test results. If your child is getting Bs or Cs but scored below grade level on the state test or you’ve seen him struggle with homework, this could be a warning sign that more support is needed with specific skills.

Use this checklist to track this information and share it with your child’s new teacher so he or she can best help your child.
